‘The Whisper Resistance’ was a joy to make as I received a grant to work on it, and was able to afford outside musicians, real studios, and a first rate mastering engineer. It's also when I met violinist Sangeet-Richard Downs, who soars with feeling somewhere between classical, jazz fusion, and new age sensibilities. Nineteen year old vocalist maya rosenbaum is featured on two tracks.

The album includes one of my two (along with 'The Ever-Present Origin') homages to fusion music, but just a little. I don't have the chops it takes to do what The Mahavishnu Orchestra or Weather Report did, but I loved them, and I've tried to convey a bit of that improvisational spirit on the title track.

‘The Whisper Resistance’ has been added to syndicated programs Hearts of Space and Echoes, and is also being featured on NPR affiliates KCUR in Kansas City MO, WMSE in Milwaukee WI, WYSO in Dayton OH, KUAC in Fairbanks AK, WMNR in Monroe, CT, and on streaming station One World Music.

I make instrumental, ambient adjacent, classical, folk and electronica tinged music with acoustic guitar usually at its center. Some pieces are solo; some fleshed out with violin, cello, electronica. Reverb is a large part of my sonic palette.
